# RECONNECTION PRACTICES
## Actual Techniques for Getting Back to Love

**By Becoming Real**

## PRACTICE 1: THE MEMORY SHIFT

**When disconnected:**
You’re thinking about judgment, failure, stakes.

**Reconnection:**
Remember why you started.

Think about the moment you fell in love with this:
– The excitement
– The fascination
– Why it mattered
– What you loved about it

**Do it now:** Close your eyes. Remember the love. Hold it for one minute.

## PRACTICE 2: THE GRATITUDE RESET

**When disconnected:**
You’re focused on difficulty.

**Reconnection:**
Name 3 specific things you’re grateful for about this thing/person/activity.

Be concrete:
– Not “I’m grateful for music” but “I’m grateful for how singing makes my voice feel alive”

**Do it now:** Write three specific gratitudes.

## PRACTICE 3: THE BODY RESET

**When disconnected:**
Your body is tense (shallow breathing, tight shoulders).

**Reconnection:**
Move.

– Walk (5 minutes)
– Stretch
– Dance
– Run

Let your body release tension.

As body relaxes, love reconnects.

## PRACTICE 4: THE SHARING RESET

**When disconnected:**
You’re isolated in fear.

**Reconnection:**
Tell someone who loves you:
– What you’re doing
– Why it matters
– That you lost connection
– That you’re finding your way back

Their care helps you reconnect to yours.

## PRACTICE 5: THE SMALL ACTION RESET

**When disconnected:**
Everything feels too big.

**Reconnection:**
Do one small thing you love about this:
– One note if you’re singing
– One line if you’re writing
– One minute of presence if it’s a relationship

Small actions reconnect you to love.

## PRACTICE 6: THE QUESTION RESET

**Ask yourself:**

– What would I do if I trusted myself?
– What would I do if no one was watching?
– What do I actually want (not what I think I should want)?
– What would the person I want to become do?

Answers reconnect you to genuine love.

## WHICH PRACTICE TO USE

**Memory Shift:** When you’ve forgotten why this matters

**Gratitude Reset:** When difficulty has overshadowed beauty

**Body Reset:** When tension is blocking love

**Sharing Reset:** When isolation is the problem

**Small Action Reset:** When everything feels overwhelming

**Question Reset:** When you’re unsure what love looks like

**Use one practice. Reconnect. Resume with love as foundation.**
